Ltinist BX27 Wireless Sport Earbuds Review 15 Hour Buds a 75 Hour Case Total and an Invalid IP Code

  • Ear hook sport design with a large 14.2mm driver, three ear tip sizes and a dual LED charge display.
  • Battery is 15 hours in the buds, one of the stronger per charge figures here, with the case taking the total to 75 hours.
  • The IP7 claim is not a valid IP code, and Ltinist’s own text describes splash level protection rather than immersion.
  • The specification field claims active noise cancellation while the title says ENC microphones, which work on calls only.
  • Ltinist states these are not compatible with gaming devices, and no codec, multipoint or app support is published.

Description

The use case this is built for

The Ltinist BX27 is an ear hook sport earbud. Ear Placement reads Over Ear and Form Factor reads In Ear, which between them describe the shape accurately: a bud that seats in the canal with a flexible hook looping over the ear to hold it in place through movement. The recommended uses are running and exercising, and the whole listing is built around staying put during a workout. The driver is unusually large for the format at 14.2mm, and the case carries a dual LED display showing charge for both the buds and the case.

The published rating is 4.4 out of 5 across 19,522 ratings, which is one of the largest rating counts anywhere in this catalog, and the listing places the model 610th in the earbud and in-ear headphone category. It first appeared in September 2023. One limitation is stated openly in Ltinist’s own bullet and deserves surfacing: these are described as not compatible with gaming devices. That is a specific exclusion rather than a general disclaimer, and if a console was part of your plan, this is not the product.

Connection and codecs

The specification gives Bluetooth 5.4, which is genuinely recent, with a stated range of 48 feet, roughly 14.6 meters. That is a longer figure than the 10 meters most comparable listings quote, though range figures are measured in open air without obstruction and a wall between you and your phone changes the picture entirely. What Bluetooth 5.4 actually improves is interference resistance, connection stability and power efficiency, exactly as Ltinist’s bullet says. It does not improve sound quality.

No codec is named anywhere on this listing. SBC is the guaranteed baseline, AAC is unconfirmed, and neither aptX nor LDAC is claimed. There is therefore no basis for describing this as a high resolution or lossless product, and the deep bass language in the title is a tuning claim rather than a codec claim. Multipoint pairing is not mentioned. Auto pairing on removal from the case is described, and compatibility is listed broadly across iOS, Android, televisions, smart watches, computers, tablets and laptops, with the gaming device exclusion noted above.

The noise cancellation contradiction

The Noise Control specification field reads Active Noise Cancellation. The product title says ENC Noise Canceling Mics. Those describe two entirely different systems. ENC works on the outgoing microphone signal so callers hear less of your surroundings, while ANC uses microphones and inverse waveforms to quiet the world for you as you listen. The title is the more specific and more credible of the two, and no bullet anywhere on the page describes an active cancellation feature or a transparency mode to accompany it. Read this as a product with call side noise reduction and passive isolation from the ear tip seal.

Battery, split properly

The Battery Life field reads 75 hours and the Carrying Case Battery Average Life field also reads 75 hours, which is the same duplicated total appearing in two places rather than a genuine split. The bullet does the real work: each earbud offers up to 15 hours of listening on a single charge, and the case takes the combined total to 75 hours.

Fifteen hours from the buds is a strong figure and one of the better per charge numbers in this catalog, helped considerably by the fact that there is no active cancellation circuit drawing current. That is the number worth comparing against other products, not the 75. Charging is 1.5 hours for the buds and 1.5 hours for the case over the included USB-C cable. As always, 15 hours is a best case measured at moderate volume, and call time and cold weather shorten it.

Fit, seal, controls and an IP code that is not valid

Three ear tip sizes ship in the box, small, medium and large, stated clearly in the included components field alongside both earbuds, the USB-C cable, the charging case and a manual. That is the standard count and it is published, which is worth something. Combined with the hook, it is a reasonable fit package for exercise. Controls are described inconsistently across fields as Media Control, Touch and Voice, and Button Control, while the bullet describes a sensitive touch area for track changes, volume, calls and voice assistant access. Touch is the most likely answer.

The water rating claim is the weakest part of the listing and it appears twice, in the title and in a bullet, as IP7. IP7 is not a valid rating. The IP standard uses two positions after the letters, the first for solid particle ingress and the second for water, so a water only code is correctly written IPX7. IP7 alone corresponds to no tested standard at all. The Water Resistance Level field adds nothing beyond the word Waterproof.

What is more revealing is that Ltinist’s own description of the protection contradicts an immersion reading. The bullet says it can resist sweat, rain and minor water splashes. That is splash level behavior, which corresponds to IPX4, and is a long way from the immersion to one meter that IPX7 would mean. So the manufacturer’s own text argues against the number it has printed. Treat this as sweat and rain resistant, do not immerse it, and understand that no valid IP rating is published on this page.

What is missing, and the alternatives

Not published: codec support, impedance, sensitivity, frequency response, multipoint, transparency mode, wear detection or app support. The published figures worth using are the 14.2mm driver, the 15 hour bud runtime and the three tip sizes. The weights given, 100 grams and 3.53 ounces, agree with each other and describe the packaged set rather than what you wear, with the case listed separately at 43 grams.

Within the same brand the Ltinist X29 takes a conventional in-ear shape rather than the hook. For other hook mounted sport designs with long case totals, the Sajawass BX30 and its 80 hour claim and the Hupoaf H87 built around stability are direct comparisons, while the JLab JBuds Air Sport is the brand name version of the same idea. Browse the true wireless earbud section and the wider in-ear headphone listings for more.

Who should buy it, who should not

Buy it if hooks are what keep earbuds in your ears during exercise, if 15 hours per charge is genuinely useful to you, and if a large driver and a charge display appeal. Skip it if you need active noise cancellation, because the title and the specification field disagree and the title is the more credible. Skip it if you intend to use them with a games console, which Ltinist excludes explicitly, and do not treat the IP7 label as an immersion rating, because it is not a valid code and the manufacturer’s own text describes splash level protection.
