This page sets out who owns what on wirelessemporium.com, what you may do with it, and how to ask for something to be taken down. Two separate kinds of material sit on almost every page here, and they are owned by different people.
Our text is ours
The written material on this site is our copyright. That covers the prose in each product write up, the way a write up is organized, the headings, the page copy on sections such as the catalog index, and the site’s own design and structure. It was written for this site and it is protected under United States copyright law and the international conventions that follow it.
Product images and specifications are not
Product photography, packaging artwork, brand logos, model names and trademarks belong to the manufacturers concerned, or to the retailer whose listing they were drawn from. We reproduce them to identify the product being written about. That is identification, not ownership, and no endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation with any manufacturer is implied by their appearance here.
Published specifications, such as the Bluetooth version, the codec list, a quoted battery figure, a driver diameter or an IP code, are statements of fact issued by the manufacturer. We quote them and attribute them. We claim no ownership over them and no accuracy for them beyond the fact that the manufacturer or the listing published them. Where two published figures disagree, our pages say so rather than choosing one silently. The reasoning behind that is on the about page.
What you may do
- Read, print and save pages for your own personal, non commercial use.
- Quote a short extract, such as a sentence or two, provided you name Wireless Emporium and link back to the page you took it from.
- Link to any page here. You do not need permission to link, and no link needs to be approved by us in advance.
What you may not do
- Republish a write up in whole or in substantial part, on a website, in an app, in print or in a feed.
- Run automated collection against the site, or bulk copy the text for training, resale or redistribution.
- Translate or rewrite our pages wholesale and publish the result as your own work.
- Present our material in a frame or wrapper that makes it appear to be yours, or strip the attribution from an extract.
Asking for something to be removed
If you own material that appears here and you want it removed, send a notice through the contact form. It is the only channel we run, and it reaches the person who can act. Please include:
- Identification of the work you say is infringed, and of your ownership or authority to act for the owner.
- The exact address of the page here, and enough description to locate the specific image or passage on it.
- An address at which we can reply.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law, and that the information in your notice is accurate.
We aim to review a complete notice promptly and may remove or hide the material while we do. If you believe your material was removed in error, send a counter notice through the same form explaining why. A notice that gives us no way to find the material or to verify the claim cannot be acted on, so please be specific.
If you find our text elsewhere
Copied write ups turn up on other sites regularly. If you see one, we would appreciate the address. We reserve every remedy available to us, including notices to the host and to the search engines that index the copy.
