Sprtoybat Q35 Sport Wireless Earbuds Review: 5 Hour Buds, 30 Hours Total and the IPX7 Wording

  • Ear hook sport earbuds with 10 millimeter drivers, three tip sizes and a stated 6 grams per earbud.
  • Battery arithmetic is unusually honest: 5 hours in the buds, a 400 mAh case that refills them five times, 30 hours in total.
  • IPX7 is claimed in the same sentence that describes only splash and rain resistance, and the specification gives no code at all.
  • No Bluetooth codec is named, so the HiFi claim in the product name is unsupported; the noise cancelling refers to the microphone.
  • The specification carries a 38 dB sensitivity figure, a lithium metal battery claim and a mixed connector description, none of which are usable.

Description

The Sprtoybat Q35 is an ear hook sport earbud with 10 millimeter drivers, three tip sizes and a stated 6 grams per earbud. It does something almost no listing in this bracket manages: it explains its battery arithmetic, and the arithmetic actually works. Five hours in the buds, a case that refills them five times, thirty hours in total. That is a real disclosure rather than a headline number. Several other parts of the listing are far less careful, including the water rating and a sensitivity figure that is off by more than a factor of two.

Who this pair is for

Flexible silicone ear hooks, an ergonomic housing and three tip sizes make this a training design. Sprtoybat targets hiking, running and outdoor activity, and quotes 6 grams per earbud with the whole product including the case at 50 grams. Light is genuinely useful on a hooked design, because the hook has to hold the weight all the way through a run.

The recommended uses field then lists eleven activities including cycling, motorcycling, driving, snowboarding and skateboarding. That is keyword padding rather than advice. This is a sealing in ear design with no transparency mode, and sealing your ears on a road removes exactly the audio cues you need for traffic. Motorcycling adds wind noise and a helmet to the same problem, and wearing earbuds while driving is restricted in many places. Treat this as a gym, trail and treadmill product.

Connection and codecs

Bluetooth is given as 5.3 with a 15 meter range, which is above the 10 meter figure most earbuds in this class quote and should be read as a clear line of sight best case. A Hall switch connects the buds automatically when the case opens and powers them down when they go back in, which is standard behavior on current chipsets and works reliably when implemented properly.

No codec is named, so the fidelity claim has nothing behind it

Sprtoybat states no codec anywhere. Not SBC, not AAC, not aptX, not LDAC. SBC is therefore the only safe assumption, since it is the mandatory Bluetooth baseline. The product name nonetheless leads with HiFi stereo and the fourth bullet promises high fidelity audio from a 10 millimeter speaker with what it calls a volume optimized active equalizer and a supple diaphragm. Diaphragm material and equalization are real things, but high fidelity without a named codec is a word rather than a claim, and nothing on this page supports a high resolution or lossless description.

The same bullet mentions a noise cancelling microphone. That is ENC, which cleans up your outgoing voice on a call so the person at the other end hears less of your background. It does nothing to what you hear. The noise control field on the specification reads sound isolation, confirming there is no active noise cancellation in this product. If cancellation matters to you, the JBL Live Pro 2 is a different class of purchase.

Battery: the arithmetic that actually adds up

The third bullet is the most useful sentence on the page. Two fully charged earbuds give up to 5 hours of music playback. The case holds a 400 mAh battery and can charge the pair five times. Five hours multiplied by six full charges is thirty hours, which is exactly the total Sprtoybat advertises. Nothing has been double counted and nothing has been inflated, which is more than can be said for most listings in this catalog where the headline figure is arrived at by adding both earbuds together.

Five hours per session is short by current standards, so read the split carefully before buying. It covers a workout or a commute, not a long haul flight. The case recharges over Type-C in about 1.5 hours. The structured specification is less useful, recording both battery life and carrying case battery average life as 30 hours, which puts the combined total into two fields where it does not belong. Trust the bullet.

As with every manufacturer, five hours is a best case measurement at moderate volume. Gym environments push people to raise the volume until the music beats the room, which shortens runtime and is the main hearing risk in this category. Pick a level and stay there.

Fit, controls and the IPX7 wording

Three sizes of silicone ear tips ship in the box alongside the hooks. That is the right number for a sealing design, because tip fit governs both how much bass you perceive and how much gym noise is physically blocked. Controls are a multifunction touch panel on each earbud handling play, pause, volume, calls and either Siri or Google Assistant. Touch panels have no moving parts to fail but misfire with wet fingers, which is a real consideration here.

The water rating needs care. The first bullet states IPX7 rated waterproof, and then describes it as withstanding common splashes and rain. Those two halves of the same sentence describe different codes. IPX7 means immersion in one meter of water for thirty minutes. Splash and rain resistance is what IPX4 covers. The structured specification records only waterproof with no code at all. So the strongest claim on the page is immediately qualified by the weakest description of it, and the specification field supports neither.

This review will not call the Q35 waterproof. If the IPX7 claim is accurate it is a strong rating at this price; treat it as the manufacturer’s assertion rather than a verified figure, and note that no consumer IP code covers seawater or pressurized water and that seals degrade with age and repeated sweat exposure. For a listing that states one code and describes it consistently, see the Boean U8.

Specification errors and what else is missing

The sensitivity field reads 38 dB. Earbud sensitivity figures normally sit between 95 and 110 dB, so this one is not usable. The headphones jack field reads mini USB and the included components list refers to a mini USB Type C cable, which is two different connector standards in one phrase; the Type-C reference in the bullets is the credible one. The batteries field claims two lithium metal cells, which are non rechargeable and cannot be what is inside a rechargeable earbud. The department field reads womens, the cable feature field reads detachable on a product with no cable, and the theme field is a list of eight unrelated keywords. The model name field reads Q35-R while the item model number reads Q35.

Multipoint is not mentioned. Wear detection and auto pause are not mentioned. There is no companion app and no EQ adjustment beyond the fixed equalization described in the bullets. Item weight reads 50 grams and 1.76 ounces, which do not agree with each other and neither matches the 6 gram per earbud figure in the bullets.

Sprtoybat records the sales position as ranked 2,380th in Electronics and 335th in earbud and in ear headphones, on a 4.4 star average across 11,501 ratings since September 2022. That is a large and long running feedback base. For alternatives with the same hook approach, see the GNMN V7, the bmanl T16 and the JBL Endurance Peak 3, all in our earbud headphones section and the wider true wireless earbud listings.

Who should buy it, and who should not

Buy the Sprtoybat Q35 if you want a very light hooked training bud and you value a battery figure that has been honestly worked out rather than inflated. Skip it if five hours per session is not enough, if you need a water rating stated consistently, or if codec support matters to you. And treat the recommended uses list as marketing rather than a guide to where it is safe to wear them.
