THREE PEACHES ST1 Wireless Earbuds Review A Touchscreen Case, IPX4 and a 5 Hour Bud Runtime

  • The charging case carries a 2.01 inch color touchscreen and plays MP3 files stored on the case itself.
  • The buds are rated 5 hours, and the listing describes only one further charge from the case despite a 25 hour heading.
  • IPX4 covers splashes and sweat only. The spec table calls it waterproof, which the code does not support.
  • ANC and ENC are both claimed with no decibel figure and no test standard published.
  • No codec, no driver size and no ear tip count are published anywhere on the listing.

Description

The THREE PEACHES ST1 is one of a growing group of earbuds whose charging case has become the product. The case carries a 2.01 inch full color LCD touchscreen that plays MP3 files stored on the case itself, switches between seven equalizer presets, displays messages from your phone, changes wallpaper and screen brightness, handles calls, triggers a find my earbuds alarm, and toggles a music or game mode. The buds themselves are a conventional sealed design with claimed active and environmental noise cancellation, Bluetooth 5.4 and a five hour runtime. The listing went live on August 21, 2024, and at the point this data was captured it carried 339 ratings averaging 4.3 out of 5, ranked 7,631st in Electronics and 883rd in Earbud and In-Ear Headphones. This is a new unit, not a renewed or refurbished one.

Who a screen on the case suits

A touchscreen case is genuinely useful in two situations. If your phone lives in a bag or a jacket, changing tracks and equalizer settings from the case is faster than fishing the phone out. And because this case stores and plays its own MP3 files, it can act as a source device on its own, which matters if you run or work out without carrying a phone. That is a real capability rather than a novelty, and very few earbuds at any price offer it.

The costs are the ones you would expect. The screen draws power from the same cell that recharges the buds, it adds a component that can crack, and a case designed around a display is bigger than one designed around two earbuds. The seven equalizer presets, listed as standard, rock, pop, classical, DJ, disco and jazz, are the sort of fixed curves that a companion app would normally offer with more granularity.

Connection: Bluetooth 5.4 with nothing else disclosed

THREE PEACHES states Bluetooth 5.4, which governs connection stability, power consumption and LE Audio groundwork and does not improve sound quality on its own. No wireless range is published. No codec is named anywhere on this page, so SBC is what you should assume. AAC, the codec that matters on iPhones, is not stated, and neither aptX nor LDAC is stated, both of which require the phone and the earbuds to support them before they change anything. Multipoint is not mentioned. There is no companion app described, which is consistent with the settings living on the case screen instead. No driver size is published anywhere in the listing.

The cancellation claim has no numbers attached

The listing claims both ANC and ENC. Those are different features and it is worth keeping them apart: ENC processes the microphone so your caller hears less of your background, while ANC generates an opposing signal so you hear less of your surroundings. The specification table does record noise control as active noise cancellation, so at least the fields agree with the copy here. What is missing is any figure at all. No decibel reduction is published and no test standard is named, so there is nothing to verify. Active cancellation of any quality works on constant low frequency noise such as engine and cabin drone and works poorly on speech. It does not make a room silent, and at this price the cancellation depth is likely to be modest.

Battery: five hours, and a headline that does not follow

This is the clearest contradiction on the page, and it is worth laying out exactly as published. The bullet is headed “25H Playtime and Digital Display”. The body of that same bullet says the buds last up to 5 hours on a full charge, and that the charging case can charge the earbuds “an additional time”. One additional charge from five hours gives ten hours, not twenty five. The specification table records Battery Life as 5 hours, which agrees with the body text and not with the heading.

We are naming that rather than resolving it. Plan around 5 hours per bud, treat the case reserve as unknown, and ask the seller how many recharges the case actually holds before ordering. Note also that the screen consumes case power, so whatever the case reserve is on paper, an owner who uses the display heavily will see less of it reach the buds. The charging time is given as one hour, and quoted playtimes on any earbud assume moderate volume on a new cell.

Fit, controls and the IPX4 rating

The buds are described as a full in ear design in soft silicone, shaped for small ear canals, with rounded tips. The listing does not say how many ear tip sizes are supplied, which is a real omission on a sealed design, since the tip decides both perceived bass and how much ambient noise reaches the cancellation circuitry. Impedance is 32 ohms, which is not actionable on a wireless product. The specification table lists “Control Type = Voice Control” alongside “Control Method = Touch”, which is two fields describing different things rather than a control map.

The water rating is IPX4, and the listing describes it as waterproof. It is not. IPX4 covers splashing water from any direction, which in practice means sweat and light rain and nothing more. It is not an immersion rating and it does not survive a shower, a pool or being rinsed under a tap. The specification table compounds the error by recording the water resistance level as “Waterproof” with the code stripped out. Read the code, not the adjective. No IP rating covers seawater or pressurized water, and ratings degrade with age and sweat exposure.

One naming fault worth flagging: the specification gives the model name as “ST 3” while the manufacturer part number reads ST1. Use the ASIN in any warranty conversation.

What to compare it against

Screen equipped cases are still rare, and the two serious implementations in this catalog are both from JBL. Our write ups of the JBL Tour Pro 3, whose case screen also works as an audio transmitter and the JBL Tour Pro 2, the first mainstream earbud to put a screen on the case show what the idea looks like with a full specification behind it. If the screen is not the reason you are here and you simply want a cheap cancelling set, the Soundcore P30i, which publishes its cancellation approach and pairs with an app is the better documented option, and the TOZO T10, a long serving budget model with a published water code covers the basics. Our wider coverage sits under wireless earbuds and earbud headphones.

Who should buy it and who should not

Buy the ST1 if a case that stores and plays its own music without a phone solves a real problem for you, and if five hours from the buds is enough between charges. Do not buy it on the strength of the 25 hour heading, because the listing’s own body text describes a single case recharge. Do not read IPX4 as waterproof, do not expect cancellation depth that nobody has quantified, and do not buy it if you need a codec named or an ear tip count published.
